Earlier I was a student of NITK, Surathkal, when I had applied for a passport. I completed my graduation and moved to Bangalore, where I live now. My passport has arrived at Surathkal post office. Should I go to Surathkal and fetch my passport or can I collect it at my new address, after it is returned by the postal authorities. Is any fine involved and is the procedure lengthy and time-consuming?
|
| Since you have completed your study in Surathkal and the earlier address is no longer applicable, you may furnish us with two personal particulars forms [click to download format] with address proof of your current Bangalore address. We will have the verification of your Bangalore address done through the local police. The passport will be dispatched to you after the police verification report is received. No fine is involved for this procedure. |
