Passports Returned Undelivered

I learnt that my passport, which was sent to me by post, was returned undelivered. sHow do I collect my passport?

Passports dispatched to the applicant by post are returned by the postal authorities when the addressee is not available at the given address. In such cases applicant will be informed regarding the same. The applicant has to furnish an explanation as to why the passport was not collected. He/She will also have to send us a self-addressed registered envelope available in all post offices, with an additional postage of Rs.10/- affixed on it. On receipt of the explanation and envelope, the passport will be re-dispatched. If the applicant has changed the address to something different from that given in the application for issue of a passport, proof of the changed address has to be produced along with the above requirements with personal particulars form.
